    • Declaration of Intention filed November 27, 1920 in Russell County, Kansas indicates that he came to the USA December 20, 1886 at the Port of New York from Bremen, Germany. He indicated that he did not remember the name of the ship. His brother Adam's Declaration of Intention indicates same date of arrival with the ship named "SS Petersburg". Trinity Lutheran Church, Bender Hill, Russell County, Kansas published a history book in 1955. It covered the period from 1883 through 1955. A Baptism record was shown for Pauline Irene Fose (Foos), born 24 Feb 1924, baptised 4 May 1924 daughter of Charles Fose (Foos) und Kate (Katie) geb Margheim. Witnesses were Clara Wiedemann, and Friedrich Fose (Foos).
